Steps of IVF Treatment

1. Hormone Cycle Suppression
   We begin by gently suppressing your natural cycle using daily injections for about two weeks.
2. Stimulating Egg Production
   Fertility hormones (FSH/HMG) are administered for 12–14 days to boost egg supply. Additional medications may be used to improve egg quality in specific cases.
3. Monitoring Progress
   Regular ultrasound scans and blood tests track follicle growth. A trigger injection is given for final egg maturation.
4. Egg Retrieval
   Eggs are collected 34–36 hours after the trigger injection using ultrasound guidance under sedation. Mild cramping or spotting may occur.
5. Fertilization
   Eggs are combined with sperm and cultured in our lab. Fertilized eggs (embryos) are monitored for 1–2 days. The best embryos are selected for transfer.
6. Embryo Transfer
   One or two embryos are transferred to the uterus. Remaining embryos may be frozen for future use.
7. Advanced Options
   Blastocyst transfer (day 5–6 embryos) may be offered for better success rates.

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)
ICSI is a specialised IVF technique where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg. It is recommended for:

• Low sperm count or motility
• Previous IVF fertilization failure
• Obstructive or non-obstructive azoospermia
• Ejaculatory dysfunction

This advanced procedure ensures higher fertilization rates and is performed alongside IVF.
